I only did two leaf figure sculptures, but I did many leaf figure drawings and later I made etchings of some of them. The textural structure of leaves is something that has always appealed to me. At first it was the quality and patterns, especially in plants found near the water edge. I lived near a river and a canal and there were always ponds nearby in the country where we would frequently play. Later I would collect and draw them, but mainly I would sketch on the spot.
